What does a pulsing red dot indicate?

There may be times that you notice a pulsing red dot throughout the site. These dots are helper indicators, signaling a new feature release, displaying helpful documentation or providing you with helpful tips to specific areas on a page.

Interacting with the helper indicator

Typically the pulsing red dot or helper indicator are set as a one time use. This means once you interact with it, the red dot will be removed. These are typically placed to draw your attention to a new action on the site such as a new button or tab. Simply click the red dot to view the help text.

Removing or disabling the helper indicator

One time use

If the helper is set as a one time use, click on the red dot where you will see a modal open. From here you can review the help text, view the release notes within the modal or opt to open the release notes in a new tab by selecting the hyperlink if applicable. Once the modal has been closed, the red dot will be removed from the page.

Duration based

If the helper does not disappear after initially interacting with it, this means we have set this helper to be visible for a specific time frame to ensure users are aware of any new features or important support documentation. You can simply ignore the pulsing red dot when viewing in the future and expect for it to be removed shortly.
